Storage Holborn Modern Slavery Statement
This Modern Slavery Statement is made by Storage Holborn in respect of the financial year ending 31 December 2025. It sets out the steps we are taking to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains. We recognise that modern slavery is a global crime that can affect any sector, and we are committed to playing our part in eliminating it.
Our Business and Supply Chains
Storage Holborn provides secure storage solutions and related services to individuals and businesses. Our supply chains primarily involve property services, facilities management, storage equipment, cleaning, security, technology, and professional services. We work with a range of suppliers, contractors, and service providers based in the United Kingdom and, in some cases, overseas.
We understand that the risk of modern slavery can arise in any area of our supply chain, particularly where there is the use of temporary labour, subcontracting, or sourcing from higher risk geographies or sectors. We are committed to identifying, assessing, and managing these risks in a structured and proactive way.
Zero-Tolerance Policy on Modern Slavery
Storage Holborn has a clear and unequivocal zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and child labour. We will not knowingly engage with or support any business or individual involved in such practices.
This commitment is reflected in our internal policies and our approach to procurement, supplier selection, and ongoing supplier management. We expect all people working for and with Storage Holborn, including employees, agency staff, contractors, and suppliers, to share this commitment and to act in accordance with our standards.
Supplier Standards and Audits
We seek to build long-term, transparent relationships with suppliers who can demonstrate responsible and ethical practices. Our supplier onboarding processes require prospective suppliers to confirm that they comply with applicable laws on modern slavery and human rights, and that they have appropriate policies and controls in place.
Where appropriate, we request information on labour practices, recruitment methods, and the use of subcontractors. We reserve the right to carry out audits or request independent assessments to verify compliance with our standards. These audits may include site visits, document reviews, and interviews with workers, either directly or through qualified third parties.
If concerns are identified, we will work with the supplier to implement corrective actions within a reasonable timeframe. In serious cases, or where sufficient improvement is not achieved, we may suspend or terminate the relationship.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
Storage Holborn encourages the reporting of any concerns relating to modern slavery, human trafficking, or unethical labour practices. We are committed to ensuring that individuals who raise concerns in good faith are protected from retaliation or detrimental treatment.
Employees are encouraged to raise concerns with their line manager or through our internal escalation processes. Suppliers, contractors, and other third parties are expected to report any suspected instances of modern slavery associated with our business or supply chain through the appropriate management contact within Storage Holborn.
All reports will be taken seriously, treated sensitively, and investigated promptly where appropriate. Where necessary, we will involve external experts or relevant authorities.
Training and Awareness
We recognise that effective prevention of modern slavery depends on awareness and understanding. We aim to provide relevant training to employees involved in procurement, supplier management, and human resources to help them identify risk indicators and respond appropriately to concerns.
We also promote awareness of our zero-tolerance approach and expectations among key suppliers and partners, encouraging them to cascade similar standards within their own operations and supply chains.
Monitoring, Governance, and Annual Review
Responsibility for overseeing our approach to modern slavery sits with senior management at Storage Holborn. They are responsible for ensuring appropriate policies, training, and due diligence processes are in place and for monitoring their effectiveness.
We will review this Modern Slavery Statement annually to reflect any changes in our business, legal requirements, or best practice guidance. As part of this review, we will assess the effectiveness of our current measures, consider feedback from stakeholders, and identify opportunities to strengthen our approach.
Storage Holborn remains committed to continuous improvement in preventing modern slavery and human trafficking. This Statement has been approved by the leadership of Storage Holborn and will be updated and published each year.
